FREE Shipping on All Products in Contiguous U.S.
- All products on our website include FREE ground shipping within the contiguous US (48 states).
- Unless otherwise noted, please allow 2-5 business days for delivery of most products.
- You will be contacted with the shipping costs for any orders placed shipping to Alaska or Hawaii.
- Feel free to contact us by phone, email or live chat for any expedited shipping inquires or shipping costs to Alaska or Hawaii.
- We cannot ship outside of the 50 states due to manufacturer limitations.
Orders placed shipping to Alaska or Hawaii
You will still see free shipping when you check out due to a limitation in our store software. However, you will be contacted with the additional shipping costs for any order placed shipping to Alaska or Hawaii after we get the shipping estimate(s) from the manufacturer. At that time you can choose to continue with your order or cancel. We apologize for the inconvenience.
Alternatively, you may contact us by phone or live chat during normal business hours, or email us your inquiry, to get the shipping costs before you complete your order.
Eventually all products that have a shipping fee to Alaska and Hawaii will have a note to that effect on the product page to hopefully avoid this confusion.
Fast Shipment and Delivery
At ADHME, we understand our customer’s immediate need for the products they order:
- Most of our products are shipped directly by the manufacturer from the warehouse nearest the shipping destination, usually within two business days of receipt of payment.
- Please allow 2-5 business days for delivery for most products.
- Special rush or expedited shipping may be available for an additional charge. Please call 800-956-6616 or email service@home-med-equip.com with any inquiries.
- All equipment will be shipped directly to your home or work along with all available warranty, service and support documents. Items ordered together may arrive in separate boxes and/or at different times, depending on when and/or where they were shipped from.
Larger Products / Additional Time - Some of the larger products do require additional time - such as adjustable beds, hospital beds, geri-chairs, recliners, custom wheelchairs and lift chairs - before they are shipped and occasionally the manufacturer will run out of a product without us knowing. In any case, we will do our best to have your merchandise delivered to you as soon as possible and notify you by telephone and/or email in the event of a delay.
Lowest Price Guarantee

Please verify with the business the TOTAL cost to you, including any additional option costs, shipping costs and the item availability. The low price guarantee is void if the other business does not have the product available to ship. Please make note of their website address prior to contacting us because we will need it to verify the price. Be aware, many web (e-commerce) retailers do not include shipping with the price of their products. Or, they may have a lower cost of a particular product (i.e., wheelchair) but it will not include a necessary option (i.e., footrests). Be forewarned about all the fine print.
Some restrictions apply. For example, we may not be able to compete with the "big box" stores such as Amazon, Home Depot, Walmart, Walgreens, etc. These are typically products that big-box stores stock and ship and, thus, qualify the store for the manufacturer's large-quantity discount.

Exchange/Return Policy
Free Damaged Product Return
- Any defective merchandise or its part(s) will be replaced, serviced and/or exchanged within the manufacturer’s warranty period.
- If you receive a damaged or defective product upon delivery, please call us immediately at 800-956-6616 or email us at service@home-med-equip.com with your order number and images, and we will gladly exchange and/or replace the damaged product or its part(s) at no cost to you.
- Additional charges will apply if a product needs to be returned or exchanged that was incorrectly ordered by the customer. See return policy below.
30-Day Return Policy
We offer a 30-day return policy on most products. However, all returns and/or exchanges must have prior authorization and will be shipped at the customer’s expense to the least costly location as determined by ADHME. A 15-20% re-stocking fee will also apply depending on the item. Products must be returned in their original packaging and box(es) and in brand new, original condition with all of the original documentation included. ADHME reserves the right to refuse or deny any refund or exchange if we or the manufacturer conclude the returned product is not in brand new condition.
For health concerns, some bath safety products and personal use items (i.e., commodes, incontinence supplies, bath benches, shower chairs, nebulizers, etc.) are non-returnable for hygienic reasons. Some of the larger items, such as adjustable beds, custom wheelchairs, lift chairs, geri-chairs and recliners, and non-stock items, may also not be returnable pending the manufacturer’s discretion or approval. We do our best to provide products that avoid this last possible situation, but cannot guarantee it.
Product Guarantee
Our recommendations and advice are based on our 30 plus years of combined experience working in the home medical equipment and durable medical equipment industry.
ADHME cannot guarantee any individual’s personal comfort, ability or comprehension in using any particular product we sell because of the diverse levels of disabilities and/or handicaps due to strength, age, mental awareness, health, etc. Any individual who places an order directly online through the ADHME website will be assumed to know the needs, capabilities, and comfort level needs of the individual(s) for whom they are ordering. Please contact us for any help or questions you may have in getting the right product for your needs.
Payment Policy
We accept Visa, Mastercard, American Express and Discover cards. You may also use your PayPal account, qualify for a payment plan through Bread Pay finance, or pay by personal check, money order or cashier’s check (made out to “American Discount Home Medical Equipment”, or simply “ADHME”) and mail it to:

Orders will be processed upon receipt of payment. Personal checks are subject to delay (5-7 business days) upon bank clearance. ADHME reserves the right to require a particular form of payment from any individual prior to shipping an order.
Purchase Orders
Purchase Orders from certain institutions or businesses may be emailed to service@home-med-equip.com or faxed toll-free to 800-956-6282. Please include shipping and billing addresses, quantity and item descriptions, and a specific contact person and phone number with your fax. Our payment terms are NET 30 Days.
Multiple Quantity Discounts

Medicare Assistance
In order to keep our costs down and offer greatly reduced prices, ADHME does not bill Medicare, Medicaid, or any insurance company directly. However, for certain products that Medicare may partially reimburse on a purchase (i.e., commodes, lift chairs, walkers and rollators), we do provide a detailed paid invoice which will include any product HCPCS billing codes. We suggest checking with your private insurance company about possible reimbursement from them with your paid receipt.
Mobile Messaging
In 2026 we decided to adopt mobile messaging for very limited communications with our customers to make important communications with them much more convenient. For example, this would be for shipping notifications, sending coupon codes they request, answering support questions, and very little else. We do not use text messaging for general marketing, so, should you opt in, you don't have to worry about getting a slew of spam from us!

We do not charge for the Service, but you are responsible for all charges and fees associated with text messaging imposed by your wireless provider. Message frequency varies. You are solely responsible for all charges related to SMS/text messages, including charges from your wireless provider.

You'll receive a one-time opt-out confirmation text message. No further messages will be sent to your mobile device, unless initiated by you. If you have subscribed to other American Discount Home Medical Equipment mobile message programs and wish to cancel, except where applicable law requires otherwise, you will need to opt out separately from those programs by following the instructions provided in their respective mobile terms.

We do not share or sell your private information to anyone! The information we collect is only for completing the sales process with you, improving your experience on our site and making it easier to find what you're looking for, and, if you opted in, you may on rare occasions get a sales announcement or important news relevant to your home medical equipment needs, which you can opt out at any time. SECTION 4 - BigCommerce
Our store is hosted on BigCommerce Inc. They provide us with the online e-commerce platform that allows us to sell our products and services to you.
Your data is stored through BigCommerce's data storage, databases and the general BigCommerce application. They store your data on a secure server behind a firewall.Payment:If you choose a direct payment gateway to complete your purchase, then our merchant account gateway stores your credit card data. It is encrypted through the Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard (PCI-DSS). Your purchase transaction data is stored only as long as is necessary to complete your purchase transaction. After that is complete, your purchase transaction information is deleted.
All direct payment gateways adhere to the standards set by PCI-DSS as managed by the PCI Security Standards Council, which is a joint effort of brands like Visa, Mastercard, American Express and Discover.
PCI-DSS requirements help ensure the secure handling of credit card information by our store and its service providers.
SECTION 5 - THIRD-PARTY SERVICES
In general, the third-party providers used by us will only collect, use and disclose your information to the extent necessary to allow them to perform the services they provide to us.
